Contributions Policy
A significant area of focus for Veolia Water Indianapolis, LLC, (VWI) is stewardship of the central Indiana water supply. Therefore, a large portion of our contributions are targeted for stewardship and education initiatives that inform the public about wise use of water resources.
VWI considers funding requests from tax-exempt organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation from the Internal Revenue Service only. In order to be considered for a contribution, you must submit the request in writing and include
- Name of requesting organization
- Contact information of requestor (name, address, phone, email)
- Proof of tax-exempt status
- Description and date of program/event you are requesting funds for and who will benefit from the program/event
- Dollar amount requested
Target Giving Areas
Target giving areas allow the organization to support programs, services and events that have been identified as issues of concern for our employees, customers and stakeholders. Our seven target giving areas include
- Arts and Culture
- Civic
- Diversity/Minority Enrichment
- Education
- Health/Human Services
- Economic/Community Development
- Environment/Water Education
Restrictions
Due to corporate restrictions, Veolia Water Indianapolis cannot provide support to the following:
- Individuals
- Religious Organizations
- Research and Development (except with designated community partners)
- Multi-year Commitments (except with designated community partners)
- Capital Campaigns
- Matching Gifts
- Sporting Events (unless it is a fund-raiser for a target giving area)
In-Kind Donations
VWI will support not-for-profit fundraising events with employee volunteers, giveaways and services at its discretion and as long as the requests fall within our strategy.
